FAQs
1, How long do your Wedding Dresses take to arrive?
Our advice is to have a substantial time period from buying the dress and your big day. We recommend around a year before to be the best time to get a dress on order. Most of our dresses are our own designs and we have the most incredible team of skilled lace makers, pattern cutters and seam stresses who work so hard to make our dresses really quickly, in some instances as quickly as 3 weeks, so last minute order can be possible at a small surcharge. Standard delivery is 4 month however it is important to remember when your dress arrives you will need alteration that can also take several weeks.
2, What do I do if I’m planning to loose weight?
Many of our brides plan to loose weight before the wedding and some manage to and others don't. The best advise we can give is to go with the size you are when you order the dress as it is easy to take a dress in but very difficult and in some cases impossible to let them out. Each size has a difference of 2". Dresses are made to order and are shipped to the UK. They are not made ready hanging in a warehouse therefore it takes time for them to be made and then even more time for shipping. It is always the safest option to get your chosen wedding dress on order and then adapted to fit you rather than leaving it too late and then having to compromise on style.
3, Are alterations included in the price?
No alterations vary from one bride to another, therefore, these extra personal fit requirements are not included in the price.
ALWAYS book your chosen seamstress as soon as you have ordered the dress.
The alterations we suggest you have done 6-8 weeks before the wedding in case you continue to change shape but book them as far in advance as possible because of limited availability during wedding season.
4, How many guests can I bring with me to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring a maximum of TWO guests with you to your appointment. ADULTS ONLY. After 20 years of selling bridalwear this is not only due to space constraints, but also so that the bride can relax and focus on her own ideas without the interference of well meaning friends and relatives. This is your chance to find something you feel amazing in and in our experience brides can regret their choice if they listen to too many voices. .
5, Are children and babies allowed in the boutique?
No I'm sorry but we do not allow children or babies in the boutique. We want you to relax and enjoy your appointment, this day is all about you and finding your dress. As a mother there are few opportunities to be selfish and focus on yourself, we want this to be a cherished memory that you enjoy! Over the years, way too often, the appointment is spoilt for the bride by children who are bored or babies who naturally will want their mums attention.
Due to the nature of the products on sale we do not allow pushchairs as dirty wheels equal dirty carpet! Remember this may be your first appointment but the next bride may be collecting her actual precious wedding dress so its essential the floor is clean to avoid damage.
7, How much is the initial deposit for my Wedding Dress?
The initial deposit is always half the price of the dress and then the full balance is due once the dress arrives. We can not guarantee delivery dates as sometimes dresses arrive quicker than others and often for reasons completely out of our control. Once your dress arrives, however quickly it may be, the balance will be due therefore when you place your order please make sure you have the remaining funds to pay the balance unless otherwise agreed with Beverley.
8, Can I cancel my dress once it is ordered?
Wedding dresses are made to order so can not be cancelled once the dress is ordered, therefore in the sad event of a wedding being cancelled, the gown must still be collected and the balance paid as per the terms of the contract you have signed. If your dress has arrived and we have failed to reach you by phone and recorded delivery letter after 3 months of no payment or content then we will instruct our debt collecting agent. as a small business it is not viable or affordable to with stand cancellations.
