It was the day of the photoshoot. The day we get to showcase our beautiful curvy gowns to all of you, our gorgeous brides. From lace to Chiffon, from long to short, we have them all! At the Bridal Suite we take pride in having a whole shop for our plus size girls to choose from and showcasing them on our model is one of our favourite dates to look forward to. We understand that some people get nervous and even put off looking for their bridal dress in fear of nothing suiting or fitting them. We love to show these people they can not only find a dress that suits them, but one that makes them look and feel like the most gorgeous bride in the world. No matter their size.
Of course we started the day with a coffee, a caramel latte to be exact, from the small coffee shop across the road from us. If you’re a coffee lover like us, you’ll know how important this step is…especially on a busy day!
Upon arrival to The Bridal Suite, we started by prepping the dresses for a day of brides and of course the photoshoot later on. We steamed each one, layer by layer. Then moving on to giving the shop a quick tidy, including hoovering and dusting off the shelves upon the head pieces and accessories sit. Now were ready for out first bride of the day.
Our first bride, Emma arrived at 10am. Emma was fairly nervous to go dress shopping but it wasn’t her first time so she did have an idea of the style she was looking for. We picked out the dresses in the shop that catered to her desires. The appointment got somewhat emotional at times and as bridal consultants, this makes our heart so full. We love being apart of this special journey.
Our second bride arrived, she was picking up her dress. She looked absolutely stunning and all ready for her big day! She was extremely pleased with her gown. This was such a beautiful moment.
Now was time for the photoshoot! We often use our own brides for this and on this occasion our model was one of our brides from 2018! Faith is always such a pleasure to work with and produces such gorgeous content for us to use. She shows other curvy brides that there is nothing to be scared of when looking for your dream dress. For insight Faith wore a size 24 in the dresses. However, we stock from size 18 to 30+.
We started off by getting a few photos of her in one of out best sellers, then proceeded to move onto creating some small clips that could be used for social media such as TikTok’s, Reels and Stories. They all came out wonderful! She really knows how to work the camera! This is always such a fun day at The Bridal Suite. We got Faith to model our new arrival which features a gorgeous flutter sleeve, which is such a flattering style. We are constantly getting requests to add on sleeves of this style and its honestly such a gorgeous dress. It shows off the hourglass figure and pulls you in, in all the right places. We got some amazing content from this! Upon leaving, Faiths three year old daughter arrived in which we allowed her to try a flower girl dress on. The mother daughter duo looked absolutely adorable together.
We finished the day at 5:30pm with another stunning curvy bride. This appointment was particularly emotional with her family all falling in love with her final choice. This was such a beautiful moment shared between family members and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. The final dress was such a gorgeous fit and enhanced her curves in all the right places. She was blown away with the results and went on to put her deposit down.
And that is a busy day at The Bridal Suite. Filled with amazing moments, coffee and photoshoots. Now time for a cuppa and Netflix.
